…is coming along nicely. You’ll probably be able to hear a beta version of it on my fm4 Soundpark page.
As will be mentioned there, the killer hook or lyrics are still missing (like with “Heavy Smoke” a few years back).
I’ll be actively looking for such things, though. And I guess this weekend, which will hopefully consist of four quiet days, I’ll be able to either finish that track or start a new one. Yay!

…no update for a long time. But don’t worry…there is going to be something new pretty soon…
To give you a little teaser:
Kerosene Draft
That is the working title of a new track, and it will be the first of hopefully many HiFi tracks, although that probably won’t stop me from throwing in one or the other LoFi or Gameboy track in the near future…or even that hybrid track that some of you have been asking for!
Ah…and if any of you know a rapper, singer or anybody who can produce interesting sounds (hehe, not that kind) that would go well with a track in the style of The Crystal Method, please let me know. Thanks.

A very atmospheric Dream Trance track, based on the theme from the 1982 movie Blade Runner. It won me a compo back in the day.

YAY! The very first new track on this site!
This does not mean I am finished uploading old stuff, just that I want to treat you to something you haven’t seen before. Some of the “old” stuff was never released before this site either, but this is the first song I actually finished in that time.
It is a slow breakbeat track, heavily inspired by Sting’s “Shape of my Heart”, or Craig David’s “Rise and Fall”…well that one featured Sting as well, so I guess it doesn’t really matter which one 😉
Enjoy!

A great riff, inspired by some salsa chords from some piano introductory book, this Latin House track is the favourite of many of my friends. Driving and with a lead synth that always reminds me of Gigi D’Agostino’s synths.
Be sure to give this one a listen!

Oh, those industrial goths 😀 Hocico is a Mexican industrial band. When we met them when they visited Austria a few years back, we were kinda weirded out on how to adress them after reading some of their lyrics, but when we actually saw them they were kinda skater-like and really nice guys. On stage, however, they look really scary. Their music is raw.
This is a trance remix of their track.

A smooth relaxing song I wrote for my dear Schafi. Bombastic, orchestral and Delerium-like.

[audio:U96_-_Das_Boot_nexxyz_Intelligent_Beat_Mix.mp3]
Ah, “Das Boot” was a great track. And a movie with a great musical score, for that matter. When I first started tracking, I had never heard the original song, and also not the U96 remix. However, when I found samples of the theme and some computer-speech saying “One, two, three, techno” and so on, I put them together into a song of mine. Only months later I realized that those samples actually were taken from the same song…U96 – Das Boot.
Apparently there is a tie from my family to the movie – well…around some corners, anway 😉 The husband of my great-aunt has lots of models of ships, submarines and especially aircraft. The story goes that one of his models was actually used in a few shots of the movie. I’ve seen the model, and it still looks pretty cool.
This is a down-beat, psychedelic remix of the Boot theme and by now probably seven to eight years old. No samples from the original or any other mixes taken.

The last days have been pretty busy, so I was not able to write any entries. We’ve been to Graz, and it has been a really nice day. Seeing my town of birth is always a pleasant experience. It has a very medieval flair, you can really imagine it being a castle town of old.
During the next days there probably won’t be as many updates as in the past. I think two songs + one equipment a day was a bit much, and lots of stuff is already here. So I decided to post one song per day from now on, until everything is up. And once my new video card is here, I’ll probably start working on some new HiFi stuff, but there are some Gameboy tracks being worked on right now, I can assure you!

In the same area as “Liquid Skies”, this track features a flute and breakbeat with lots of strings in the background. Slowly bobbing like the sea, with a very triumphant and emotional middle part, it is a really good song for falling into.
Dreamy slow and relaxing!
